Performing Members
Performing members are the public face of the team. They perform gravity defying stunts and spirited dances at community events around Tacoma, Olympia and beyond.
Performing membership is a rewarding way to represent our community. Performers must attend summer tryouts and commit to weekly practices.
Production Members
Production members are the backbone of our team. They don’t perform but help with a variety of tasks from administration to day of event support.
Production membership is a great option for those who don’t want to perform but still want to be part of the CHEER Tacoma family. Production members may join at any time during the season.

Our season runs from September through July, which is broken into a three trimesters. Performing volunteers are required to attend a certain amount of events during each trimester, and may miss a certain amount of practices each trimester. Generally, you are required to be at more things than not, but we maintain flexibility for our working adult lives.
We have 3 mandatory full team performances at various Pride festivals in June and July, so please expect to commit fully to Pride season and practices leading up to that.
Production volunteers are given much greater flexibility and do not have the same attendance requirements as performing members.
